On 1 December, Jaouad will release a new album: Homo Universalis. The nine songs were written for his musical book performance ‘De meisje'. They were recorded live at The Rabbit Field Studio with Stef Kamil Carlens on production.
The new songs are full of zest for life, love and the joy of playing. You can take the latter literally, because thanks to the live recording, as a listener you are immediately drawn into Homo Universalis' wonderful universe. More than ever Jaouad is going his own musical way, welcome to this fine trip.
Homo Universalis is another step in Jaouad Alloul's musical oeuvre. These live recordings are a gift to his audience. Dedicated to Jeroen Vanluyten: thank you for giving our love wings to fly.

Homo Universalis will be released on streaming platforms on 1 December. As an advanced single, Jaouad recorded a new interpretation of his song ‘Hard To Love’, which will be released on 24 November.
